The competition is open to school students in two class groups: Between 1st grade to 5th grade, and between 6th grade to 10th grade.
Only residents of Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi NCR are eligible to participate.
The Spardha School Idol competition is conducted online. However, the Grand Finale will be held offline in three major Indian cities: Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune.
Currently, Spardha School Idol is open only to participants residing in India. For those outside India, we will be launching the Spardha Idol Global 2024 edition soon.
No, there are two categories:
Solo Vocals: For those who want to sing.
Solo Instruments: For those who want to play an instrument.
Yes, participants can sing any song in any language. Genres can include Folk, Indian Classical, Carnatic, Western, Bollywood, or any other film music.
Participants can choose from the following instruments:
Piano
Electric Keyboard
Guitar
Ukulele
Flute
Tabla
Violin
No, registration is FREE for everyone.
Near the registration closing date, participants will receive access to the Spardha School Idol Dashboard, where they can edit their profile and change the age group.
Yes, once participants have access to the Spardha School Idol Dashboard, they can add multiple participants in their respective categories and upload videos.
Videos can be uploaded on the Spardha School Idol Dashboard. You can login after registration.

The competition was highly competitive, and each performance was thoroughly reviewed by Spardha’s panel of musicians based on multiple criteria. We encourage all participants to continue their musical journey and participate in future events.
Yes, Spardha School Idol is an annual event. Additionally, participants can join Spardha Idol Global, our upcoming digital global music competition.
Participants are encouraged to join the Spardha School of Music for tailored courses and to attend our monthly Free Masterclasses to refine their skills.

Yes, performances can be accessed on the same page where friends and family voted. Participants can revisit and share these moments.
